Thermal Grizzly AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame AM5/Ryzen

The AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame is a combination of contact frame and CPU guard for AMD's Ryzen 7000 processors. As a contact frame, the AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame creates an optimal contact pressure of the CPU in the socket, while an optional, enclosed inlay made of Silicone foam serves to protect the exposed components on the CPU.

Optimized inner contour for uniform contact pressure
The precision-milled inner contour of the AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame creates several contact points to the heat spreader compared to the standard SAM, which evenly distributes the contact pressure on the CPU. This ensures that the contact surfaces of the CPU rest uniformly on the pins of the socket. This allows For example, problems with memory recognition can be avoided.

Innovative silicone foam inlay for protection and sealing
The AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame comes with a silicone foam inlay. This can be placed on the processor's PCB, similar to the AMD Ryzen 7000 CPU Guard. When installing the AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame, the space between the heat spreader and the aluminum The frame is sealed with silicone foam by pressing the foam onto the circuit board. This prevents thermal paste or liquid metal from getting onto the unprotected components of the CPU. The foam inlay is optional when using thermal pastes, but is essential when using liquid metal.

User-friendly assembly with clear marking and compatibility
To simplify installation, there is a corresponding marking on the top of the AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame. Since the socket has a bulge on the upper - the "northern" - edge, installation is only possible in one orientation. To install the frame Four screws are included and it is compatible with the Thermal Grizzly AM5 backplates.

Ryzen-8X00G compatibility
Note: The AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame is compatible with Ryzen 8X00G series APUs.

Note on Ryzen 9000 compatibility

According to initial internal tests, the AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame is compatible with AMD's Ryzen 9000 processor series. The compatibility test only includes the normal 9000 CPUs. Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs will be tested as soon as they are available.

Attention: Removing the Socket Actuation Mechanism (SAM) of the motherboard may void the motherboard manufacturer's warranty!
