Thermal Grizzly AMD Mycro Direct-Die Pro RGB | High-performance water cooler

The AMD Mycro Direct-Die Pro RGB V1 has a hybrid structure with two different sizes of microfins and a jet plate for optimized airflow. The cold plate of the cooler is made of nickel-plated copper and is mounted directly on the CPU chip. For this purpose, the Socket Actuation Mechanism (SAM) of the mainboard is removed and the processor must be decapitated. Nickel plating of the cooler plate creates a barrier layer so that gallium-based liquid metal cannot diffuse into the copper and repeated application of liquid metal is usually not necessary.

Between the cold plate and the anodized aluminum cover there is acrylic glass, which is subjected to a tempering process after milling to relieve the acrylic of internal stresses. This ensures that even after a long period of use, no stress cracks form in the acrylic glass, as is the case with tempered acrylic glass. Under the aluminum cover there are RGB LEDs that are controlled via the mainboard via a 3-pin ARGB header (+5V/DATA/GND). The LEDs illuminate the acrylic glass under the cover and the G1 /4-inch connections in the lid.

Attention : Removing the heat spreader (“decapping”) of a processor is done at your own risk! Decapping the CPU voids the manufacturer’s warranty! Damage caused when decapitating the CPU is not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty!

Removing the Socket Actuation Mechanism (SAM) of the motherboard may void the motherboard manufacturer's warranty!

Attention: The Mycro Direct-Die RGB is NOT COMPATIBLE with the Ryzen 8000G series APUs

Note on Ryzen 9000 compatibility:

According to initial internal tests, the AM5 Mycro Direct Die is compatible with AMD's Ryzen 9000 processor series. The compatibility test only includes the normal 9000 series CPUs. Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs will be tested as soon as they are available.
